Construction Project Manager

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Review and maintain knowledge of contract documents and contract scope of work

  • Coordination of all post award activities on assigned projects

  • Responsible for project budget to include initial set up and monthly billings and projections

  • Prepare and track all changes to contract documents

  • Position is located in King George, VA

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Prepare and/or supervise preparation of all project submittals, shop drawings, samples, MSDS binders, close out documents as required

  • Organize project documents and correspondence with general contractor and architects

  • Prepare and track change orders

  • Purchasing of materials and buy out of subcontractors

  • Work with general contractors and other subcontractors to maintain project schedule and budget

  • Coordinate with Field Supervision regarding all areas of work specifically;

      • Scheduling requirements

      • Material purchasing and stocking

      • RFIs, drawings changes

  • Utilize construction management software suite (Plexxis)

  • Responsible for the budgets on assigned jobs. Responsibilities to include cost projections, billing projections, progress billings

  • Document and track job progress

  • Garner and bolster relationships with clients to ensure repeat customers

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field or five years relevant Construction Management experience

Must have strong, effective writing and communication skills

Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel

Must be able to work under pressure and handle multiple and varied job tasks
